Building the Future Now Through Yoga: A Conversation with Deanna Green

Inspired by a podcast conversation between Deanna Green and Heather Sanderson, this short book explores the role of yoga as a physical, philosophical, psychological, and spiritual practice for the Self and for being in community with others.

Deanna shares how her journey with yoga started and how it has become an integral part of her work not only in teaching and owning a yoga studio, but in her personal healing, and healing within the collective. She shares insights of how yoga helps her uncover and claim her authentic Self, move through many different kinds of challenges and the flexibility that comes through self-inquiry and creating safe space. She talks about ways in which what she has learned “on the mat” translates into her life and the crucial importance of sharing these teachings to inspire systemic and social change at all levels. Deanna’s story and vision shows how working with yoga helps shift what feels impossible into reality.

Heather offers a plant spirit reading in relation to this work, and talks about why working with plants is a key part of our planetary evolution. Worksheets to aid in creating your own vision, commitment, and calls to action are also included to make this book an immersive and interactive experience so that you can explore where (and how) you feel safe, what healing wants to occur through your authentic Self, and what you want to bring into the world. Together, the future is possible!
