Ah, winter… still…
Even though I appreciate living in a climate where there is a definite shift in seasons and where we get all kinds of weather, there is always a point in the winter when it feels as though it “should” be over.
February marks that time of they year, at least here in the North, where many have had enough of the darkness. Enough of being cozy inside and internal and can start to feel the quickening drive to move. To get going. The return of the sun starts to return our desire to act.
Rosemary is a perfect partner for this time of year! She has a fiery nature that helps lift spirits when we feel down or depressed and finds ways to help you get your blood (and energy) moving so that you can find a balanced drive of motivation. She also works with the archetype of the outcast, one that we may feel more strongly when isolated from others as many of us have been this winter in particular.
If you’re like me, you may cook with Rosemary without giving her much thought as a plant or being. That is, until, she called me to attention and helped me remember her true nature. Hers is the medicine of memory and she will help you build your memory and build new pathways in your brain.
My heart feels deeply moved to have written this book with Rosemary and I hope you will read, dream, and connect with her to discover more of her magic (and to let her help you remember yours!).
‘Tis also the season for the heart, with Valentine’s day upon us. A great time to check in with your heart and see what it holds and unlock the power within. There are so many ways to do this and I put together a whole package of goodies for you that includes some heart-chakra yoga, meditation, and plant friends to help you explore and move through the heart center so you can have a greater capacity to live from your heart (and why that might be useful). You can check it out here.
Rosemary also helps with birth, and I can feel her helping me to bring new offerings into being. Some that I have been sitting on for a while but needed that last push of support.
I’m excited to announce a new workshop: The Physical Psychology of the Chakras. This workshop will help you understand the chakra system in a multi-dimensional way. You will start to understand or deepen your knowing of what they govern, how to work with them through the body, and how the chakras (and physical body) are huge parts of our belief systems and psychology. For more information and to register, click here.
I hope Rosemary helps you, too, to remember who you are and gives you the energy you need to bring yourself and your offerings into the world.
