Celebrating Three New Books in 2025

2025 saw three new Majestic Wisdom Publishing books launch into the world!

I’m so grateful to Gérome Barry for all his amazing illustration work that made The The Dog Who Wanted to Be a Butterfly come alive! And to James Leonard for getting me through the gutter crisis of ‘25 with such care and determination. So much love to all of the community support by Kvartira Books, Shambhala Yoga and Dance Center and A. Fantis School for hosting amazing book reading events and to all of you wonderful readers! And of course, huge gratitude to Elizabeth and Grant Darwin for sharing Franklin with me for so many years and to @daphne_the_doxie_ and her parents for their endless support.

What Art Can Do  has been such fun to see launch with Janet Morgan and I hope it’s inspiring more people to try things even if they fail. We’ve had great reviews and I’m proud that it is seen as a “back to the boho” book with a punk ethos embodied as stated in a review by California Desert Arts. We have had great support from Janet’s community as BWAC Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, Honey Badger Motel and others have hosted talks and readings. Plus the book is highly interactive and invites you to take what is on the page out into the world! We can’t wait to see what you do!

And my unexpected third book this year, More Than a Threshold, is a writer’s craft essay that came from months (and yes also years) of work at Harvard Extension School. It’s a culmination of my MA in creative writing and talks about how to embed a portal in your story by looking at works by Margaret Atwood, Elisabeth McKetta and Michael Ende. I didn’t plan for this essay to become a book so it even surprised me and so did the number of sales when it launched in September!

As always a huge thank you to Deanna McFadden, my writing sister and editor for her help not only with these books but with every single step that got me to here.

All of these books are sold worldwide, wherever you get your books! And if you want to carry them in your shop, place a special bulk order (discounts available), book a reading or interview, or have any other ideas, let me know!
